    Posted because of awesome people.
If there is one person or more on your friends list who makes your world a better place just because they exist and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

I have met some wonderful people through this. Thank you for friending me and helping me though the bad times and celebrating the good.

    Hockey
Well the Pittsburgh Penguins are the winners of Sir Stanley's Cup. It was an amazing series.

I happen to love hockey. Next to baseball, it's my favorite sport. One of the largest reasons why is because of the Stanley Cup. Not only is EVERYONE'S name engraved on that cup, but each person on that team gets one day with the cup to do whatever they would like with it. I would definitely have to take it around to all of my family and my friends who love hockey as I do. Sportscenter had a couple of commercials about what people "did" with the cup. One person used the bowl on top as a jello mold.

Anyway, I'm curious...What would YOU do with the cup?

What Kind of Serial Killer Would You Be?
    Your Result: Organized and Mission-Oriented

You're a planner. You'd carefully plot each murder, and carry it out methodically. You'll kill them in one location and move them to another later, and you'll study up your forensic science. The good news is, you're much harder to catch.
You'll have a specific reason to kill. You'll target a specific group, like prostitutes or members of a minority, and you'll believe their deaths are justified on the grounds that you're "cleansing" the earth of that particular kind of people. You'll think you're helping society.

Oh thank God. I was worried they would ruin his last episode. It was interesting, they used a new method to solve something, and they didn't mess up the ending. It reminded me of the bedroom scene. I had a feeling they were putting the two together, but you never know when it comes to TPTB.

    Happy Holidays
I will be traveling to my parent's house after work today and staying there until after the holiday when the big return rush happens. This also means no internet. Luckily they did get cable a while ago, so I'm not completely in the dark. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

I took this Saturday off a long time ago so I could watch the scUM game from start to finish at my friends' house.

So what am I actually going to do?

I'm going car shopping and won't get to watch anything. *Sigh* Stupid deer.

    Intellectual, eh?

Your result for The Who Would You Be in 1400 AD Test...

    The Prioress

You are a moral person and are also highly intellectual. You like your solitude but are also kind and helpful to those around you. Guided by a belief in the goodness of mankind you will likely be christened a saint after your life is over.

You scored high as both the Lady and the Monk. You can try again to get a more precise description of either the Monk or the lady, or you can be happy that you're an individual.

    A note...
    Dear csibuckeye:

I don't really know how to tell you this, but I'll join the monastery. I think I realized it when your dwarf bit me under the bus and I saw you sit on my John F. Kennedy-statue. I'm sure you're man enough to understand that your Honda sucks. I'm returning your ring to you, but I'll keep the oil stocks as a memory. You should also know that I always wanted to break the apartment building.

    Greetings to your frog Leonard,

Your result for The 4-Variable IQ Test...

    Interpersonal

Your strongest type of intelligence is Interpersonal. You thrive when thinking about people, social situations, and human interaction. That's very touching. You are very likely to be empathetic, sympathetic, and in general, less pathetic, than most other test takers.

Your specific scores follow. On any axis, a score above 25% means you use that kind of thinking more than average, and a score below 25% means you use it less. It says nothing about cognitive skills, just your interest.

    Your brain is roughly:

    40% Interpersonal

    20%Visual

    5%Verbal

    35%Mathematical

Matching Summary: Each of us has different tastes. Still, I offer the following advice to the world.

    1. Don't date someone if your interpersonal percentages differ by more than 20%.

    2. Don't be friends with someone if your verbal percentages differ by more than 25%.

    3. Don't have sex with someone if their math percentage is over 50%.

    If you say so......

Your result for The Heart Test...

    Hero's Heart

    The Hero's Heart

    Independent, Idealistic, Passionate, Indulgent

You are the most gallant of hearts, the Hero's Heart. You stand tall on your own, and hold high ideals of love and romance, valuing harmony and closeness with a mate, but are passionate and fiery - a true knight in shining armor, looking for your prince/princess and more than willing to beat down the dragon to get them. You may not feel the need to be loved, as you enjoy your heroic quests, but you do hope to someday find your damsel/gentlemen in distress, rescue them, and go riding into a happily ever after.

    Matches for the Hero's Heart:

    The Slave to Emotions

The Slave to Emotions is idealistic and values harmony as you do, but is more intimate, something you can greatly understand, and craves love more. Being an idealist, you can appreciate such a person, and being the hero that you are, desire to be the one to break their emotional chains and set them free by making them feel loved, which is what the Slave desires above all other things. You will get great satisfaction from rescuing the Slave from their bindings.

    The Lonely Heart

The Lonely Heart needs to be loved, and being a hero, you will be able to see through their harder outward appearance to see the true intimate and caring person inside. Lonely Hearts crave love, and though they are more practical than you are, you will greatly admire their differences and feel a true bond with them.

Your exact opposite is Broken Heart.

Avoid Explicits when possible. You value harmony and closeness, and don't want that to be disrupted. Also avoid Independents, as you would feel more comfortable being the rescuer, and might not feel a connection with someone who is as self-sufficient as you are.

    In the Army...
I know I've been lax in updating since I went off to camp. I wanted to comment about things that happened during and after, but not right now. Yesterday, I was able to spend some time with three people who were stuck with my father overseas.

My dad fought in Vietnam in the Army. His license plate proudly proclaims that fact along with the calvary number he was assigned to. He's never really talked about his stint over there. This weekend about 25 of his fellow members are getting together to remember and share memories of this time. He is excited to see everyone, and nervous, hoping everything goes well.

For the first time, I learned my father was put in charge of a grenade launcher. I heard about ringworm and Bangkok and cigarette brands...

...I haven't laughed this hard in a long time. These buddies of my father are wonderful. It feels like they all helped each other through the war until they were finally done (they were all drafted). I can't wait to hear more stories and spend what little time I can get away from work with these gentlemen who have helped my father talk more about a difficult time in his life.

You've got to be kidding me...

Your result for The Director Who Films Your Life Test...

    Woody Allen

Be prepared to have your life story shot entirely in New York City -- though lately Woody's been loving shooting in London. Also, your music soundtrack is all jazz from before 1949. Filmography: Annie Hall, Manhattan, Stardust Memories, Everyone Says I Love You, Match Point, Scoop, etc. Woody has released one film per year consistently for the past 35 years. For the past 15 years he's been trying to make films like his older, funnier ones, just like characters in his Stardust Memories film suggest throughout. Regardless of his personal life, his films are American classics.

I usually consider myself a geek...

Your result for The Nerd? Geek? or Dork? Test...

    Modern, Cool Nerd

    For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.

A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.

A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.

You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd.

Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)!

    Congratulations!
